Brandon Kwon, Ingraham (WA), 2027
Positional Profile: SS/RHP
Body: 5-7, 150-pounds.
Hit: RHH. Narrow, open base pre-pitch. Hands start quiet and low with barrel resting horizontally over rear shoulder. Steady, higher stride widens and closes base as hands stay tighter. Flatter barrel through the zone. Bend in levers at contact with flat two-handed finish. 64.8 mph bat speed with 9 G's of rotational acceleration.
Power: 92 max exit velocity, averaged 84.3 mph. 313' max distance.
Arm: RH. INF-78 mph. Lower slot release with 3/4 action and compact arm action.
Defense: Athletic mover with quick first step in either direction. Balanced prep step, moves and fields with softer hands to both forehand and backhand sides. Fluid movements.
ATH: 7.15 runner in the 60. 1.70 and 3.99 in the 10 and 30 yard splits. 21.80 max vertical.
Vizual Edge: 65.59 Edge Score
7/01/25
Quick moving INF prospect showed improvement across the board on most recent look. 7.15 runner with short distance burst and quickness out of stance. Offensively sets up very tall, upright in a relaxed stance before using a knee-knock load and a lower leg lift to gather. Hands stretch back with a subtle scap load and stay coiled near rear shoulder. Levers in upper half stay tight and allow him to keep barrel inside of the ball. Average stride length into hitting base. Braces up well with front leg and creates additional leverage at contact. Swing metrics grade well for coverign the zone and getting on-plane early. Stays through the ball with extension after contact and a more level finish. Middle approach with gap to gap power. Peak EV with a jump up to 92.2. Defensively uses a lower set-up in his pre-pitch and takes a controlled 'hop' prior to contact. Shorter, quicker footwork when moving laterally. Stays behind the ball then comes thru with momentum. Hips stay low throughout. Works over the ball with a soft glove hand & has a natural transition from the funnel into his throws. Overall the fielding process is a clean operation and should allow for long-term development on the INF. Shorter arm slot from a 3/4 release.
