10/08/17  Wasson worked out of a low 3/4 arm slot with FB sitting 82-85 and being relatively straight. CB had 11-4 shape and slurvy action with late break. CH sat 70-72 with subtle arm side fade and good sell. Arm action is long and loose with delivery being repeated well. Wasson does have crossfire action due to tendency to step closed. he would likely benefit from allowing more aggressive hip rotation through landing/striding to slightly more open position. Overall a very promising uncommitted 2018 arm.

Wasson initiates swing from neutral set up with short stride to slightly open/. Head is still with good balance present. Hands are quick and direct to baseball. There is subtle back elbow leak with associated bat drag. Adequate weight shift, hip turn and separation is present in achieving bat exit velocity of 88 mph.

Defensively, showed athletic actions from OF. Strong arm evident in mound performance plays in OF. There is confidence and aggression in playing though ball on the ground. Wasson would benefit from improving footwork and quickening transfer on throws.

9/13/17 6-foot-2, 160-pound RHP sat 85-87 from a 3/4 arm slot. Long, lanky frame and whippy arm motion project for additional velocity and movement in the future. Also displayed a slurve at 70-72 with 10/4 rotation. Pounded strike zone and induced a number of ground ball outs.
