11.18.18 - McClung threw out of a high 3/4 delivery. Mechanically sound with a repeatable motion. His FB sat 79-80 mph with a little movement. CB at 65-66 mph was inconsistent but at best demonstrated late break and moderate depth with 11-5 shape. CH at 71 mph was thrown with good sell and consistent arm side fade/ sinking action.
2/24/18 - Initiates swing from open, narrow set up with stride to neutral without gaining ground. Good balance is demonstrated. Back elbow is passive in load lending to reduced separation. Weight shift is limited followed by more aggressive hip turn. Releases backside well into firm front side. Lower half mechanics and maintenance of posture allows fro leverage at contact. A bat exit velocity of 86 mph was recorded.
Defensively as catcher recorded pop times of 2.03-2.09
