ALABAMA - With the summer circuit in the rearview mirror and the fall season beginning to take shape, our Best Tools series continues with a look at some of the top speed across the state of Alabama. Each week, our staff highlights a different tool, identifying prospects from multiple graduating classes who have consistently stood out through our evaluations.

This week, the focus shifts to speed. While our in-game evaluations remain part of the equation, this installment relies heavily on verified testing data collected at Prep Baseball events. At the majority of our events, players are measured at the 10-, 30-, and 60-yard marks, giving us the ability to evaluate both acceleration and top-end speed.

The 60-yard dash serves as the primary measurement, but the 10- and 30-yard splits provide additional context into how quickly a player gets up to speed. Rather than simply sorting each class by 60-yard times, all three measurements were considered when identifying the featured players below.

Below, we highlight five of the top speed tools in Alabama's 2027, 2028, and 2029 classes, followed by additional names who have posted noteworthy marks.

NOTE: At most Prep Baseball events, players are tested at the 10-, 30-, and 60-yard marks. Scout Day events utilize the 60-yard dash only, so players whose times were recorded at a Scout Day will not have 10- or 30-yard splits listed.
