April 8-14 AHSAA Players of the Week:

Some big time pitching performances highlight the list of our Players of the Week this week.There was plenty of offensive firepower on display as well. Congratulations to these players on being selected in our final weekly awards.  

Mason Mann (2021, 1B, Priceville) Mann went 6-15 on the week with 3 2B's and 7 RBI's in helping Priceville wrap up the area title. 

Nick Walker (2019, OF, Priceville) The senior joined his teammate with some big time offensive numbers on the week. He was 8-16 with 2 2B's, 1 RBI and 6 RBI's. Priceville will host DAR this week in the 1st round of the 4A state playoffs. 

Judd Keel (2022, RHP, Gulf Shores) A big time outing vs. Citronelle earned the freshman on spot on the list this week. He threw complete game (7 IP) and allowed only 2 hits and 2 runs. He issued 3 BB's and struck out 9 on 96 pitches. 

Samuel Dutton (2021, RHP, Westbrook Christian) The LSU commit turned in another dominant pitching outing vs. Ohatchee. He turned in a complete game shutout with 15 K's and did not issue a walk, while allowing 6 hits. At the plate for the week, he was 6-11 on the week with 2 2B's 1 RBI, 2 SB's and 4 runs scored. 

Lawson Russell (2020, LHP, Decatur) The lanky left handed junior threw a no hitter (7 IP) vs. Sparkman and struck out 14 hitters. In the game, he was also 2-4 with 2 RBI's. 

Dylan Ray (2020 RHP/OF, Bob Jones) The Alabama commit had a big week on the mound and at the plate. He threw 5 innings getting an area win and only allowed 1 hit for the Patriots. He walked 1 and struck out 9. Offensively he was 6-11 with 3 2B's, 5 RBI's, scored 5 runs and had 1 stolen base. 

Colten Carver (2019, OF, Bob Jones) The senior outfielder was 5-10 on the week with 2 2B's, 7 RBI's, 4 runs scored and 4 stolen bases. One of those hits was a walkoff winner in the bottom of the 7th vs. Florence in an area game. 

Slade Brown (2020, C, Lauderdale County) The junior catcher had another big week at the plate. Brown was 6-8 with 2 2B's, 1 HR and 5 RBI's. He also scored 3 runs.
