Arab starts area play with a 10-0 win over Brewer.

Arab got a 5 inning complete game shutout by junior John Michael Boles and used a big 3rd inning, scoring 6 runs, to dispose of Brewer on Monday night at Arab City Park. Boles allowed 4 hits on the night while only issuing 1 walk to go with 6 strikeouts on just 70 pitches for the night. Senior Dalton Gilmore took the loss for the Patriots. With the win, Arab improves to 1-0 in 5A Area 15 and Brewer falls to 0-1. The two teams will meet again Thursday, March 28 at Brewer High School.

Brewer was led at the plate by junior SS Patrick Johnson who had two hits on the night. Senior catcher Hayden Mahan and junior outfielder Will Humphries each had one hit. For the Knights, junior 3B/RHP Will Hudson led the way with 3 hits, including a double and an RBI. Sophomore OF Landon Law,  junior DH Xander Shipp and freshman 2B Hayden Turner each had two hits. Law had an RBI while Shipp and Turner each had 2 RBI's on the night. Junior pitcher John Michael Boles helped his cause with a single and an RBI as well
