Pitching Depth, speed, and experience
OUTLOOK:
The Tigers return a good deal of experience in 2020 after making it to the second round of the state playoffs in 2019. Coach Corey Looney will rely on his team’s pitching depth and team speed in addition to the experience that returns. One returner from the 2019 squad is ’20 C Slade Brown. Brown does a nice handling the team’s arms as well as supplying a big time power bat in the heart of the order. The 6’2 220 lb. backstop is a two year all state performer. ’22 LHP Brodey Lentz returns to the mound again this year after leading the Tigers in innings pitched in 2019 with 47 2/3 and 46 K’s. Junior RHP Nathan Grisham is another arm that returns to the bump after finishing with a team leading 2.60 ERA. The 6’3 180 pounder finished the year with 45 2/3 innings pitched and 43 K’s. Senior OF Blade Wisdom is a speedy outfielder that can cover a ton of area in the outfield and is a table setter for the offense. He was a 2nd team All State selection in 2018 and has 53 stolen bases over the last two years.
