North Alabama Prospect Games: Catchers
There were 2 catchers at the North Alabama Prospect Games at the University of Alabama- Huntsville. Only one catcher went through the morning workout, Dylan Hall of Ardmore. Below are some notes on him:
Dylan Hall (2019, C, Ardmore) Another physical catcher that showed great leadership skills and some baseball savvy. Did a nice job behind the plate receiving pitches and was really good on the borderline strike down in the zone. Advanced blocking skills and recovery, giving himself a chance to throw runners out on dirt balls. Was constantly talking to his pitchers and keeping them in it mentally. Really hustled all day long. Offensively, he had a very simple approach from a slightly open stance with some nice twitchy hands that allowed the barrel to get through the zone, created some nice bat speed. Had an exit velocity of 87 mph off of a tee and really showed some gap to gap pop. Had a slight tilt in his swing.
