Hogan Nichols is a 2019 C from Andalusia, AL who attends Andalusia HS. Nichols is an advanced C that receives well and possesses a good arm behind the plate. Offensively, he is a left-handed stick that provided some thump in the middle of the Bulldog’s order in 2018. He finished with a BA well over the .400 mark with 4 2B’s, 1 3B, and 4 HR’s. He helped lead Andalusia to the 4A State Championship as a junior. In the decisive Game 3, Nichols rose to the task by going 2-3 w/ 1 R, 2 RBI’s, and a SAC Fly. The video below shows his big RBI single he had in this game vs. Hokes Bluff. In the summer, he plays for the East Coast Sox. It will be interesting to see where Nichols ends up.
