Scouting Report

10.28.18  Plus defensive actions at 3B with slick glove work and solid glove presentation with advanced feet before and after the ball is in the glove. Big time arm across the diamond as he threw 91 mph across the dirt. Solid work as a secondary position (C is primary

10.28.18 Continued his impressive showing at our events by showing an event best 1.78 pop time (1.78-1.88 range) and every throw was on the bag. Very quick feet and transfer with plenty of arm strength. Does a very good job of receiving pitches and extending the plate, while showing solid skills on balls in the dirt. An elite defensive catcher. Offensively, he has a slow load from an open stance with a leg kick approach and showed a gap to gap approach with slight tilt in the swing. Showed some juice off of the barrel with a 91 mph exit velo off of a tee

10.14.18 an elite level defender behind the plate. Does everything well and is a true catch and throw that has the ability to completely shut down the opposing running game. Was consistently high 1.8- low 1.9 pop times all day (workout and game) and was incredibly accurate. Showcase best 1.88 pop, as well as the best pop time we have seen all year at other events. Does a superb job of extending the plate for pitches and can handle the ball in the dirt with quick recovery with the feet. At the plate, he showed some pull side juice and the ability to work the backside gap with a slow load of the hands. Had a line drive 1B to CF during the game. Shouldn’t stay uncommitted too long

7/25/17 A 5-foot-9, 140-pound frame with room for continued growth. Advanced defender with soft hands, fluid footwork, and clean exchanges. Short arm action into high-3/4 release with accuracy on throws that produced a positional velocity of 73 mph and pop time ranging between 1.99-2.15. Right-handed hitter that hits from athletic setup, smooth load, and short stride. Line-drive type hitter, fluid rhythm, short, level path and bat speed that produced an exit velocity of 75 mph. Also posted a 8.01 60-yard dash.
