Player News

2021 3B/1B Slate Alford from Bob Jones HS in Madison, AL solidified himself as one of the top players in Alabama for his class after his breakout year for the Patriots in 2018. In his freshman season, he hit .333 with 34 R’s, 12 2B’s, 4 HR’s, and 33 RBI’s in the highest classification in the state of Alabama. Alford stands a physical 6’2 215 lbs. with more room to grow. Out of all the tools that he possesses, his bat is the one that stands out among the other ones. After posting the power numbers that he had in 2018, the potential for Alford is through the roof. As he continues to grow and mature, he should be one of the best hitters in the state. He has continued swinging it well this summer for the Dulins Dodgers. The 2020 and 2021 classes for Bob Jones will be interesting to watch for the next 2-3 years.
