Scouting Report

11/03/19

Another productive day for one of the top uncommitted hitters in the state ‘21 class. Ran a sub 7.0 (6.98) 60 yard dash and had the highest exit velo of the day (97 mph off a tee). The glove work at 3B is solid and he can also play 2B and has plenty of arm strength (87 mph across the dirt). Moves well laterally and has no issues making the slow roller play in front of him. The bat plays big time. The swing has some violence in it and there is definite strength in the hands. Slightly open stance with definite tllt in the bat path. Does a nice job keeping the barrel through the hitting zone and really creates backspin off the barrel. Plays the game with a throwback type mentality. Really like his approach to the game.

Very talented infielder that had the highest exit velocity off a tee at the event (96 mph) and the best infield velocity on the day (85 mph) as well as running a sub 7.0 60 yard dash (6.95). The skills with the glove at 3B are solid and he shows a really quick transfer from the glove. No doubt the bat plays big time. He shows some present strength with the hands and does a nice job of staying short and through the hitting zone. Shows juice to all fields with some tilt in the swing plane. Does a nice job creating torque in the lower half and the swing is well synched. Really like this ‘21 grad.

The 3rd baseman was one of the biggest standouts of the weekend. His speed was impressive on the bases. Made all the easy plays and 3rd, and shows the athleticism to play anywhere on the field. Easy, smooth swings that connects consistently. Ideal 1 or 2 hole hitter. Anxious to see where he ends up. A straight up athlete that shows a ton of potential.
