Who to watch for...

David Sharp
State Director - Alabama

Outlook on some of the top 2019's and where their teams will be playing this weekend in the 1A- 6A AHSAA state playoffs:

Blake Bennett LHP / Haleyville, AL / 2019

In a state where there are a number of good LHP’s, Blake has shown the ability to be mentioned at the top of the list. An Alabama commit, his mechanics are pure and he has shown the ability to create “soft contact” with a good 3 pitch mix, knows how to pitch, Haleyville will host Dora this weekend.

William Hamiter OF / Northridge, AL / 2019

Another Alabama commit, has had a phenomenal Junior year at the plate, has shown power at the plate to all fields with his smooth stroke from the left side, may move to 3B at the collegiate level, Northridge will be at Opelika in the first round, Alabama commit

Ethan Hearn C / Mobile Christian, AL / 2019

Mississippi State commit, a true catcher that has shown the ability to handle duties behind the plate and produce runs as a power hitting LH bat, he has an advanced feel for the game, he and his teammates host Providence Christian this weekend.

Bill Williams RHP / Ardmore, AL / 2019

Anther Mississippi State commit, his tall (6-foot-4) projectable frame helps this RHP get good tilt and down angle on his upper 80’s fastball that will touch low 90’s on occasion, still developing his secondary pitches but can flash plus secondary stuff, he and his teammates host Arab this week.
