Top Prospect Games

Neves is a 6-foot 195-pound right-hander with an athletic frame and a physical build. He commands the strike zone with a fastball which works 85-88 mph with late sink. He also commands a slider with 10/4 shape and late break thrown 77-80 mph. Mechanically he repeats his delivery with some effort and without a distinct balance point. He finishes athletically toward home plate. He pitches from a H ¾ arm slot with a compact arm action. Overall Neves has a feel for two advanced pitches and attacks the strike zone aggressively.

Top Prospects 2017 Pitching

Neves had a big spring for Jonesboro High School, carrying the load for Hurricanes on the mound. He carried that load all the way to the State Championship Game where they fell to Sheridan. Neves played last summer with East Coast Sox and gained plenty of interest from colleges.

 Right now he has 3 NCAA Division I offers and a few NJCAA offers, but is currently uncommitted, it is an easy assumption, to make that Neves will be one of the more sought after players this spring in the 2019 class.

Overall Neves is a polished right-hander with 2 pitches that are ready to compete at the collegiate level. He is physical already, and has a quick arm, as he should be ready to compete right away at the college level wherever that may be.
