Scouting Report

Pectol is a 6-foot-1 170-pound corner infielder with a large frame and an athletic build. He played through the baseball with fluid footwork, a normal exchange and loose arm action from a H ¾ arm slot. He throws the baseball 80 mph across the infield. Offensively he hits from the left-side, he starts from a tall stance, he uses a simply load stride combination, he attacks the baseball with fast bat speed and an uphill swing. He produces exit velocity up to 96 mph. He maintains leverage through out his swing and shows and advanced feel for the barrel. Overall Pectol is a projectable athlete with advanced feel to hit.

Top Prospects 2017 Hitting

Pectol burst onto the scene in spring competing for Robinson HS. He showed the versatility to play multiple positions, helping breathe life into a program competing in the 7-4A. He was an all-conference selection due to his offensive prowess.

He continued to show advanced bat speed and a feel for his barrel, throughout the summer with the Arkansas Prospects. Recruiting began picking up after Pectol showed very well at the Battles of the Borders. He committed to Kentucky later in the fall.

Pectol will be intriguing to watch, as he physically matures, with added strength he projects to be a left-handed bat that hits for power. He is a solid athlete and shows the ability to compete defensively at any corner position, on the infield or in the outfield.
