The 2017 Major League Draft takes place June 12-14. In advance of the draft, Prep Baseball Report is posting a summary of each state in the coverage area with scouting reports on the top high school draft prospects.

Arkansas, the state’s flagship university, is hosting an NCAA Regional for the first time since 2010. College talent is the historical strength in Arkansas and 2017 is no different. Several players are ticketed for Division I programs and best suited for delaying entry into professional baseball. The Razorbacks should continue their winning ways with four of the state’s top five prospects committed to the program.

OTHERS TO WATCH: MIF Casey Martin (Lonoke HS, AR) has an athletic frame at 5-foot-11, 175 pounds. He’s a plus runner, getting down the line in 4.08 seconds from the right side and turning in a 6.66-second 60.
