Mitchell, Ridling and Weaver commit to UALR

Coach Chris Curry and his staff have it the ground running since being hired in late June at University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Though they started late with the 2015 class, they are making up for lost time in a hurry. This week alone they committed three players from across the Natural State.

Danny Mitchell Jr, OF, 6-0 180, North Little Rock HS,
Mitchell runs a 6.8 60 and possess an above average arm. He has good instincts defensively. Offensively he has good bat speed, and has doubles powers. He is not a polished as some, as he spends a significant amount of time playing football.

Cale Ridling, OF, 6-3, 185, Genoa Central HS,
Ridling has a big frame and is a solid runner, he runs a 6.8 60. He has a plus arm, and he is athletic enough to move to a corner infield position if needed. Offensively he has some serious power, he tends to swing uphill but has consistently shown signs to hit the ball out of the yard.

Hayden Weaver, LHP, Vilonia HS, AR
The 6-foot-3, 160-pound Weaver is sound mechanically and has a clean arm action. He pounds the strike zone with his fastball at 79-82. His curveball has 2-to-8 action and he commands it well in any count. His changeup is a get-me-over pitch lacking depth. He would benefit from added strength.
