Player Spotlight: Landon McAllister

Landon McAllister, battled in the spring for innings as a sophomore for the 7A State Runner up Har-Ber Wildcats. His experienced earned, catapulted him into the summer, where he turned himself into one of the names to know in the 2019 class. Today we would like to spotlight McAllister’s profile, as one of the players to watch heading into the spring of 2018.
Scouting Report
McAllister is 6-foot-3 170-pound right-hander with an athletic frame and build. He pitches from a H ¾ arm slot with a fast arm speed. He uses a simple tall and fall delivery which is repeated consistently. He commands the strike zone with his fastball 84-86 mph and flashes up to 87 mph. He throws a curveball and changeup as his secondary pitches. The curveball has 11/5 action with gradual break thrown 71-74 mph. He throws a change up with near fastball arm speed 73-75 mph with slight arm side run. Overall is a long projectable right-hander with a feel for three pitches.
