Quick Hits Central Arkansas Junior Future Games

Brian Walker

Our first Junior Future Games workout was at Fieldhouse in Conway May 30th and it impressed. Here are some of the many great performances from the first Junior Future Game tryout to make Team Arkansas going to Atlanta in August.
  • 2023 Preston Prock (Conway), showed a physical frame at 6-Foot-2, 190-Pounds, power at the plate and fluidity in the infield. Advanced frame for age, Prock has high upside at the plate and showed a fastball that touched 80 in his bullpen.

  • 2023 Kyler Spencer (Conway WEst), is a 6-Foot-4, 190-Pound physically framed player with a big arm. Showed Easy Actions in the field and some pull power in batting practice. Running his fastball up to 81 mph, fastball was heavy and change up showed life at the plate.

  • 2023 Catcher Tripp Landers showed a much more physical frame and a calmness in everything he did. His growth in a year from a physical and control standpoint makes for him to be a 2023 to watch going forward.

  • +2023 Charlie Carter showed easy actions behind the plate and in the field to go along with a powerful swing with some power potential. Nice loft to the swing gives him a chance to be an offensive catcher as he progresses.

  • 2023 Dalen Blanchard has put on some massive strength in a year. A physical round of BP to go along with cleaned up defensive skills.

  • 2023 Israel Jonathan showed arm strength off the mound and a feel for a big breaking curveball which he commanded for strikes.

  • 2023 Clay Fisher showed advanced feel with the glove in the defensive portion and a compact swing in his round of batting practice.
