Adams is a 6-foot-2 185-pound RHP/OF with a large frame and a physical build. On the mound, he commands the strike zone with a fastball that works 89-92 mph and flashed as high as 94 mph. He shows a feel for his slider that is thrown 77-79 mph with 10/4 shape and late action. He also throws a curveball 72-74 mph with inconsistent shape and minimum depth. He pitches from a H ¾ arm slot with a clean action and fast arm speed. He is finishing upright toward home plate. Overall Adams is a physical player with advanced arm strength and a feel for two pitches which are advanced.
As a hitter Adams runs a 7.01 in the 60. He plays through the baseball with fluid footwork he uses a normal exchange and shows an accurate arm with advanced strength, throwing the baseball 92 mph from the outfield. Offensively he starts from a tall stance, he uses a short leg lift as his load stride combination. He attacks the baseball with fast bat speed and uphill swing bat.
