Uncommitted 2019 Outfielders

Nathan Rode and PBR Staff

The Hotlist is examining the top uncommitted 2019 prospects by position. While the speed of recruiting seems to be redlining, there is a ton of talent still available for college programs, not to mention that there is no reason for any players to be wringing their hands over committing just yet. So far, we’ve highlighted pitchers, catchers and infielders. Now, we take a look at the available outfielders.

Jacob Bernard, OF, Lakeshore HS, LA
Bernard has a strong frame, standing at 6 feet, 180 pounds with defined strength in his wrists and a powerful lower half. He hits from a balanced, athletic set-up with looseness in his hands. He is a line-drive hitter with fluid rhythm, a direct path and quality bat speed. He runs a 4.09-second home-to-first time and has the raw tools to remain in center field. He tracks balls well in the outfield and plays aggressively, taking quality routes and showing natural instincts.
