Unsigned Seniors: Pitchers

We have worked through signing class after signing class. Checking out who landed and where, and how each college program in the state filled their rosters for the fall of 2018. This week we move onto the top uncommitted players in the 2018 Class. Today we focus on pitchers.
Scouting Report
Pschier is a 6-foot-2 190-pound right-hander with a large frame and an athletic build. He works from a H 3/4 arm slot with normal arm speed, and a clean arm action with some stiffness. He commands the strike zone with 2 pitches consistently. His fastball works 82-85 mph with slight sink. He compliments the fastball with a curveball thrown with near fastball arm speed and 11/5 break at 72-74 mph. Mechanically he uses a simple delivery which he repeats consistently. Overall Pschier is a solid right-hander with a feel to pitch.

Edwards is a 6-foot-3 180-pound right-hander with a large frame and an athletic build. He pitches from a H 3/4 arm slot with a short quick arm action. He pounds the strike zone with his fastball 81-84 mph with late life through the strike zone. He throws a change up and slider in the strike zone with consistency. He uses a simple delivery with choppy rhythm, and limited extension to the plate. His rhythm adds to his deception. Overall Edwards, is a big physical athlete with a quick arm, that has the potential to throw much harder as he continues to develop.

Hanson is a 6-foot-right-hander with an athletic frame and physical build. He attacks the strike zone consistently with a fastball and slider. His fastball works 82-84 mph with slight cut. His slider is thrown 69-72 with 10/4 action and gradual break. Mechanically sound, with simple mechanics and smooth rhythm, with some effort. Overall Hanson is right-hander with good mound presence, which competes at a high level, with a feel for the strike zone.

Wagner is a 5-foot-11 160-pound right-hander with an athletic frame and slight build. He pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with a quick clean arm action. His fastball works 82-85-mph with late life through the strike zone. He a change up and curveball for a strike consistently. His best secondary pitch is his curveball thrown 71-73 with 11/5 shape and late break. Mechanically he uses quick but consistent rhythm and some effort. Overall Wagner is a solid right-hander with some projection as he continues to fill out, with a feel to pitch and willingness to compete in the strike zone consistently.

Brown is a 5-foot-11 185-pound right-hander with solid frame and build he commands the strike zone with a fastball 86-88 mph with slight sink. He compliments the fastball with a solid curveball with 11/5 break thrown 71-74 mph. He pitches from H ¾ arm slot with a short quick arm action. He repeats his delivery which allows him to command the strike zone on a consistent basis. Overall Brown is right-hander that commands the strike zone with two solid pitches.
