We take a look at the top performers from our winter showcase on Jan. 10th at UALR for the 2017 and 2018 participants.

Logan Easley, RHP, Heritage HS, 2017
Easley is a 6-foot, 155-pound right-hander with a clean quick arm.  He commands his fastball on both sides of the plate. His fastball works 84-86 mph with arm-side run. Logan compliments his fastball with an 11/5 curveball and a change up with late movement. The curveball has depth and is thrown at 67-69 mph.

David Rainwater, RHP, Sheridan HS, 2017
Rainwater pounds the bottom half of the strike zone with a heavy fastball at 81-84 mph. David has advanced pitch-ability for his age commanding his curveball with 10/4 shape in the strike zone. His changeup has arm-side run and sink. He throws it with near fastball arm-speed with velocity of 67-69 mph. His 6-foot-2, 190-pound frame coupled with a clean quick arm, makes Rainwater appear to be one of the up-and-comers in the state.

Jordan Wicks, LHP, Conway HS, 2018
Wicks is a 6-foot-1, 180-pound lefthander that works from a ¾ arm slot. Mechanically he is sound with fluid rhythm, a clean arm action, and gets extension to the catcher. Jordan’s fastball sits 80-82 mph with arm-side run. He has a feel for his slider and changeup. The slider is thrown 69-71 mph with 2/8 action. The change up is thrown with near fastball arm-speed at 68-70 mph, with arm side run.

Connor McCullough, RHP, Maumelle HS, 2018
McCullough is a 5-foot-11, 155-pound right hander, that commands a fastball that sits 81-84 mph.  Connor compliments his fastball with an 11/5 curveball with sharp movement. He works from a ¾ arm slot with a fast clean arm action. There was not any huge mechanical flaws, he would benefit from getting extension toward the catcher on a consistent basis.
