Brian Walker
Prep Baseball Arkansas Scouting Director

On Sunday, October 20th, the Prep Baseball Arkansas team hosted the annual Natural State Games at Bear Stadium on the campus of the University of Central Arkansas in Conway, AR. This was an invite-only event for all high school classes (2025-28), and gave our staff an ample look at the area's top players.

Shortly after the event, our staff compiled several of the day’s stat leaders inside our traditional ‘Stat Story’, which you can find HERE

Today, after combing through our notes from the day, we’ve compiled some of the event’s standouts below within these ‘Quick Hits’.

QUICK HITS

Sawyer Wilson SS / RHP / Benton, AR / 2027

Wilson is a legitimate two way potential who exudes easy athleticism. Off the bump its an easy clean arm swing with an efficient strike throwing delivery. Offensively Wilson repeats the positioning with consistent contact to the middle of the field. Definite high end player to watch as he continues to garner more strength.

Cooper Bode OF / LHP / Brookland, AR / 2026

Bode continues to improve each time we see him. Off the mound he showed consistent delivery with a quick arm that created difficulty for the hitters from the left side. Bode has a smooth left handed swing with easy line drives and a consistent line to line approach.

Zayne Walker SS / RHP / Elkins, AR / 2027

Athletic with added strength from the summer, Walker continues to show bat to ball skill that creates line drives across the field. Simple repeatable swing plane gives Walker lots of angles to get hits.

Luke Weatherley C / RHP / Academies at Jonesboro, AR / 2027

Luke is a physical 2027 with a live arm. The top fastball of the day and also showed consistency behind the plate. Time will tell where Luke will land positionally but for now he is a legitimate two way talent that has massive amounts of arm talent.

Noah Bolinger LHP / 1B / Bentonville, AR / 2026

Bolinger showed a complete three pitch mix with ease, repeating his delivery and pounding the zone. Noah has an easy delivery that continues to see his velocity climb as he garners more strength.

Weston Wilcox RHP / OF / Van Buren, AR / 2026

Super athletic arm that has major upside in the 2026 class. Repeats delivery and showed a firm fastball with a swing and miss breaking ball. A three sport athlete, Wilcox is just scratching the surface of the arm talent he possesses. A big riser as he continues to develop throughout his career.

Cayden Elmore RHP / Benton, AR / 2026

Cayden continues to improve each time we see him. Clean delivery that repeats with an easy high 3/4 slot that produces run and sink. Elmore has multiple off speed pitches which keeps hitters off balance and he throws them for strikes. Very efficient in the zone.

Coy Autrey RHP / SS / Lake Hamilton, AR / 2026

Coy is a legitimate two way talent with major arm strength. Physically built player that showed well on all sides of the ball. He has the ability to drive the ball to the middle of the field with power. Off the bump, Autrey produced easy swing and misses with a secondary pitch that showed swing and miss potential. Coy is a definite high end follow as he continues to refine his two way talent.

Jaxon Franklin LHP / OF / Little Rock Christian, AR / 2027

Easy three pitch mix out of Franklin as he continues to put on strength. Feel for the zone and pumps strikes with all of his pitches. Franklin has a very high ceiling as his body continues to take shape. An arm to watch as the 2027 class continues through their high school careers.

Caden Mendenhall 3B / RHP / Greenwood, AR / 2028

Long and loose 2028 that has high upside as a two way prospect. Mendenhall has easy actions and moves efficiently all over the field. Off the mound he shows an easy arm swing that pounds the zone. As Cam continues to add strength he will continue to see more power. High end 2028 that will be one to follow throughout his career.

Brody Parker SS / 2B / Palestine-Wheatley, AR / 2026

Brody is a physical player that showed well at the event. Easy athlete with actions Parker is one to follow in the 2026 class. Gap to gap in batting practice and in game, Parker produces consistent on plane swings. Athletic in the infield with a strong arm. Parker had a strong showing at the event opening some eyes to those that were in attendance.

Evin Campbell RHP / 1B / Benton, AR / 2026

Campbell has a long lean frame that showed a clean arm swing and pounded the zone with a two pitch mix. Campbell showed control of his fastball with a breaking ball that showed feel in the zone. A 2026 arm to follow as he continues to fill out his frame and the velocity continues to climb.
