Prep Baseball Arkansas continues the Preseason circuit across the Natural State with a stop at the Strike Zone Training Academy in Rogers for the Northwest Arkansas Preseason ID.  The event featured talent from the 2025, 2026, and 2027 classes and took part in a pro-style workout that featured BP sessions with Trackman and Blast Motion data, defensive evaluations with radar gun readings and pop times, laser-timed 30's with Swift, and finished off with bullpens and the Trackman data on ball flight.  Today we take a closer look at 11 prospects that stood out at the event with notes on each.  We will have more in the coming days with more data and leaderboards from our tech partners.

Grant Alderson RHP / 3B / Fayetteville , AR / 2027 With a long, lean, projectable build, Alderson showed a boaring fastball to the arm side. The fastball played to both sides of the plate. Look for Grant as he continues to fill out his frame to be an arm to follow throughout his career.

Cade Campbell SS / RHP / Bentonville, AR / 2026 Two way athlete that showed well across the board. Repeated line drives in his round of batting practice with clean actions in the middle infield. Off the mound, Campbell showed a lean frame that has projection.

Jacob Maynard 3B / 1B / Shiloh Christian, AR / 2027 Rankings  StateRank: 13 / POS: 2 Physical framed corner infield, Maynard takes a loud BP. Defensively, he continues to improve, and his bat is his carrying stick. Maynard continues to impress each time we see him.

Merick Cothran C / 1B / Bentonville, AR / 2025 Merick is a physically framed catcher who showed solid defensive skills behind the plate. At the plate, Merick produced hard line drives with a repeated path to contact.

Andres Javier (AJ) Ylanan SS / OF / Shiloh Christian School, AR / 2026 AJ is a long, lean athlete with the tools to be a top player in his class. Clean actions across while producing a repeated swing in his rounds of BP-producing line drives throughout the field.

Christian Brock 1B / OF / Webb City, MO / 2024 Christian is a strong physical player who moves with ease. His BP rounds were loud and produced high exit velocities. Defensively, he moves with quickness and efficiency and a strong arm.

Cohen Beach C / OF / Shiloh Christian, AR / 2027 A 2027 to keep an eye on throughout his career as he has the frame. During BP he showed pull side power and defensively showed arm strength both in the outfield and behind the plate. Time will tell as to where he lands positionally, but his upside is a definite follow.

Ty Holt C / 2B / Greenwood, AR / 2027 Rankings  StateRank: 3 / POS: 1 Ty, one of the top catchers in his class, is an all-around impact player. Catch and throw with communication skills and an advanced offensive approach that produces consistent hard contact.

Dalton Murphree OF / LHP / Bentonville West, AR / 2024 Long, lean, and athletic, Murphree produces a consistent path to contact generating line drives all over the field. Athletic in the outfield, Murphree is one to follow this Spring.

Cooper Webb OF / RHP / Greenwood , AR / 2027 As a two-way player with upside at both, Webb has the frame to put on strength, which will translate. Repeated delivery off the mound that shows signs of swing-and-miss stuff. Offensively, Webb repeated positioning and produced lined rives with flashes of power.

Ty Freeman OF / LHP / Greenwood, AR / 2027 Ty Freeman is an athletic outfielder with a consistent swing at the plate. Physically advanced for his grade, Freeman is one to watch as he continues to develop.
