College Crosscheck: Tennessee Volunteers

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Despite the loss of first rounder Garrett Crochet on the mound and second rounder Alerick Soulaire from the lineup, the Vols return plenty of talent to the diamond. Showing speed, power, hit ability and defense, here's some scouting nuggets from a Volunteer team loaded with position player prospects to go along with many different looks on the mound.



Jordan Beck, 2nd YR FR, OF- Strong and athletic bodied at 6-foot-3, 205 pounds, Beck is a natural hitter with both balance and strength in the box. Showed above average to better raw power to all fields in batting practice. Also has above average arm strength, yet will need to improve accuracy for his arm to play at that grade in games. Ran below average down the line on a 6-3 ground out, but has an athletic stride...
