Future Games: AZ Game 1 Scout Blog

Jordon Banfield
Arizona Scouting Director

The PBR Future Games are our premier national event and Arizona will be participating for the first time in 2018. The event draws hundreds of college coaches and dozens of pro scouts to one location and is unmatched in terms of offering exposure to the top uncommitted rising sophomores and juniors in every PBR state. The Future Games take place from August 1-4 at Grand Park in Indiana.

GAME 1 VS. LOUISIANA:

-2020 RHP Daniel Davila started the game, running his fastball up to 89 mph with significant hand speed. He worked up in the zone some and showed significantly looser rotation on the curveball than we've seen in previous looks, but threw two scoreless innings and is certainly a D1 arm. Davila also smoked a line drive for an RBI single, but is likely an arm at the next level.
