Corona Del Sol bounces back with big win vs Red Mountain

Corona Del Sol came a way with 2-1 win versus a strong Red Mountain team on Friday. In the game, they received some strong starting pitching from 2021 LHP Wyatt Bauer who went 6.1 innings while only allowing 1 earned run. Quade Swearingen (Central AZ recurit) scored two runs for the Aztecs which was enough to secure the victory. Red Mountain pitchers, Mason Kelley (Arizona commit) & Brandon Koble (Arizona State commit) did their best to keep the scoring to a minimum, only allowing 2 earned runs.

Desert Mountain walks off Cactus Shadows in Game 1 of double header

With 25 hits total in the first game of doubleheader, there was plenty of offense to go around in this one. There were 9 total players with multi-hit games in the contest. The game ultimately went into extra innings where Cactus Shadows put a run across the board in the top of 8th inning. Down by 1, Desert Mountain answered by putting a run across the board to tie the game on single by John Beasley, scoring Horowitz. Then 2021 SS Wes Kath (Arizona State recruit) who had a double & HR earlier came up to bat with a runner on. They couldn't walk him as that would put the winning run in scoring position. On a 2-2 count, Kath drove a hard line drive over the LCF fence for the game winner, Wolves win by a score of 10-8.

Seton Catholic scores 2 runs in bottom of the 7th for walk-off.

Notre Dame Prep found themselves ahead for most the game after scoring a run in the top of the 1st inning. 2021 LHP Max Zdimal (Princeton recruit) started on the mound for the Saints and threw 5 shutout innings, striking out 8 batters while only surrendering one hit. On the other side, 2023 RHP Charles Heil (Army commit) started for Seton Catholic, pitching a solid game himself, allowing one earned run on 3 hits and 2 walks, striking out 5 batters. Both sides went to the bullpen after 5 innings. After a leadoff walk in the bottom of the 7th, 2021 SS Rocco Gump hit a triple to RF to tie the game. Junior, 3B Michael Williamson then hit a single to RF to score Gump for the walk off win, score 3-2.
