Welcome to the Arizona Daily Roundup. 

Baseball season is finally here. As of Friday, March 12th, the AIA high school baseball season is officially off and running. Throughout the spring, PBR will be posting Daily Roundup with some scores and select performances from past games.

Shadow Ridge combines for No Hitter while offense explodes

Shadow Ridge pitchers 2022 RHP Dillon Orr (Tennessee commit) & 2021 RHP Carter Mattox combine for a 5-inning no hit performance. Orr started the game striking out 6 batters, allowing an unearned run with 2 walks. Mattox threw two clean innings, striking out 5 batters. Their offense exploded with 20 hits total in the contest. 2021 Treyton Tarver (Arizona Christian) had an unreal day at the plate, going 5 for 5 with a HR, triple, and two doubles. He batted in 8 runs while scoring 4 of his own. 2023 Chance Greene was 4 for 4 with a triple & double, 4Rs & RBIs. 2023 Bryce Stanton also logged 4 hits on the day. 

Higley stays undefeated

2023 LHP Justin Chambers (Washington State commit) was straight up dealing on Wednesday night. Chambers started on the mound for Higley, throwing 6 innings for the Knights. He allowed a single earned run on 2 hits & 2 walks while striking out 14 batters. Campo Verde had 3 total hits in the game, two of them being HR's by 2021 1B Aidan Russell (Bethany Lutheran) & OF Tyson Mesa. Chambers also also hit a double in the game. The Knight win 5-2 on the road to stay undefeated.
