Scouting Report

6/12/19 - 6’2 155-pound frame with broad shoulders. Fastball up to 85 from a ¾ slot. Fastball plays up with easy arm action. Downhill plane with arm side run to both sides of the plate. Glove side fastball is his best pitch, letting it run back over the plate. Breaking ball at 70-72 has depth and shows glimpses of being a quality pitch but lacks consistency. Change up is throw will good arm speed and fade. Fast arm that as he gets stronger, velo will match arm quickness.

1/28/18 - Physically immature 6-foot, 147-poiund frame. Solid athlete posted 7.20 60-yard dash which adds to projectability. Two-way prospect projects best on the mound where he worked 74-77 with his fastball, using very little effort. Works exclusively from the stretch with a short stride, not getting much out of his lower half. Does not post over front side. Arm really works from high ¾ arm slot. Mixed in 71-72 mph changeup that he shows advanced feel to pitch with as he doesn’t yet throw a breaking pitch. Simple swing, staying inside the baseball with steep path. Barrel leaves zone quickly, before getting to extension. Clean outfield actions; 77 mph outfield velo.

10/29/17 – Physically immature 6-foot, 147-pound frame with long torso. Showed best on the mound where he uses a compact, low effort delivery with a slow tempo. Generates very little from lower half and has plenty more in tank. Worked 74-76, T77 with his fastball that showed slight cutting action at times from a high ¾ slot. 65-69 mph changeup is only secondary pitch which is appropriate for his age and physical development. Has a chance to become high-level prospect on the mound as his body matures. Offensively hits from upright setup with toe tap trigger and somewhat steep bat path generating 75 mph exit velocity. Registered 76 mph outfield velo using short arm action and high ¾ slot. 7.43 60-yard dash.
