Liberty @ Sunrise Mountain 3/1/18

Troy Balko, 2018, RHP, Sunrise Mountain HS
UNLV signee. The ultra-projectable righty has made another jump, sitting 86-89, touching 90 with his fastball with a relatively low effort delivery.  Balko held his velo for 6 shutout innings and completely dominated a solid Liberty lineup. His breaking ball had more curveball shape and velo that we've seen in the past at 75-76 with tight rotation and depth. Currently ranked as the #18 AZ prospect in his class, Balko set himself up to make yet another jump.

EJ Sua, 2018, OF/1B, Sunrise Mountain HS
Uncommitted. Sua continues to prove himself as a guy who just hits. The physical RHH is very strong and consistently found the barrel against multiple D1 arms. The defense is somewhat of a question mark, but there's no question he can be an impact bat the the D2/D3 level.

Ethan Snodgrass, 2019, C, Sunrise Mountain HS
Uncommitted. Has transformed his body, looking leaner and stronger which has made him a more intriguing prospect. Commands the field on defense and shows elite makeup. Consistent 2.0 pops between innings. Doesn't possess elite tools, but is a baseball player. Smoked a line drive with 95 mph exit veto in his last at-bat. Shows ability to be on time against high-end arms. Very little swing and miss in his game.Has made himself into a possible D1 prospect.

JD Wadleigh, 2018, OF/LHP, Liberty HS
South Mountain CC signee. Recently transferred in from Colorado and showed himself to be a difference making athlete with a 4.18 home-to-first time. The only Liberty hitter who wasn't overwhelmed by the upper-80's FB and tight CB. Showed a short swing with some bat speed. Also sat 82-84 with a quick arm and athletic delivery in a short stint on the mound.

Chandler Murphy, 2019, RHP, Liberty HS
Arizona commit. Pitched 85-87, T89 with a straight fastball. Showed both a late breaking 77 mph slider and a softer 70-72 mph curveball that was more of a get me over type pitch. Athletic, low effort delivery with plenty of room to add strength/bulk to his long-limbed frame. Very high ceiling.
