ABOUT BLAST MOTION:

One of the important tools Prep Baseball Report is starting to implement at its events is the use of Blast Motion sensors. During batting practice, the Blast Motion sensors measure Swing and Impact Metrics across several categories. Swing metrics measure pre-impact mechanics centered around plane, connection, and rotation while Impact metrics measure pre-impact performance outcomes based on ball contact.

At the Arizona Summer Review that took place this past Sunday, all hitters were hooked up to blast sensors for there on the field BP rounds during their individual showcases workouts. We were able to collect valuable swing & impact metrics on many uncommitted players throughout the state. Some of the main areas measure include bat speed, hand speed, rotational acceleration, on-plane efficiency, & power. Prep Baseball Report will be able to share this data with coaches & scouts from around the country as well as help players identify areas of development.

Here are the top metrics of day from the Arizona Summer review:

Top AVG Bat Speed: 78.5mph | 2021 1B/OF Jack Rogers (Salpointe Catholic)

Top PEAK Hand Speed: 24.8mph | 2022 OF/LHP Milo Rushford (Walden Grove)

On-Plane Efficiency: 87% | 2021 2B/3B Emilio Caballero (Nogales)

Rotational Acceleration: 22.2g | 2021 1B/OF Jack Rogers (Salpointe Catholic)

Power: 5.96kW | 2021 1B/OF Jack Rogers (Salpointe Catholic)

Below will you find the rest of the swing & impact metrics from the event in five different categories measured using the Blast Motion sensors: (TOP- 10 listed)
