We continue our coverage of uncommitted players, spotlighting them to help maximize their exposure and assist them in the recruiting process. Today, we look at 2022 OF Prince DeBoskie (Hamilton).
2022 OF Prince DeBoskie (Hamilton)- uncommitted, projectable frame with balanced wiry body, ultra athleticism. DeBoskie is trending upward in the Arizona Class of 2022 after a respectable spring with the Huskies that made it to the semi-finals in 6A. DeBoskie came to our Summer Review back in August of 2020 where he put some his elite tools on display while giving us a solid glimpse of his high potential for the future. DeBoskie hits from a loose athletic setup, using a simple small leg lift. He uses a short handsy swing, getting on plane early with present bat speed. He turns the barrel early on occasion creating a mostly pull-approach. His barrel consistency has received an uptick while hitting .324 on the season. That should keep going up as his ability to stay inside the ball got better over the course of the season. His power potential should continue to increase with his strength that he has added. He hit six doubles, a triple & HR on the season in 50AB. Defensively, DeBoskie has natural speed, running a 6.45 60-yard dash back in August of last year. His reads & ability to track the baseball have improved, turning into Hamilton's main CF by mid-season. DeBoskie should be followed going into the spring.
