Hagen Haefs is an athletic 6-foot-1, 190-pound right-hander with a loose arm, some funk to the delivery and a fastball that has reached 93 mph. The Desert Vista senior pitched at the 2026 Senior Future Games, where he faced some of the top uncommitted talent in the country and added another high-level look to his summer.

There is a mature presence to the way Haefs handles the mound, and the delivery has enough athleticism and deception to keep hitters from getting a clean look. The arsenal can take on slightly different shapes from outing to outing, but the present arm speed and overall feel give him a solid base to work from heading into his senior year.

One of our better spring looks at Haefs came in March, when he opened at 90-93 mph before settling at 88-90. The fastball played with natural cut, while the breaking ball gave him a second look off the heater and was in play throughout the outing.

Haefs took the mound at the Senior Future Games in July against a national group of uncommitted hitters. He worked through a three-pitch mix of fastball, curveball and changeup, with the same athletic delivery and calm presence we had seen during the spring.

The fastball topped at 90.8 mph in that outing, while the curveball reached 74.7 mph with spin north of 2400 rpm. The changeup worked in the upper-70s and gave him another speed band to work with.

Haefs enters his senior year with a loose arm, athletic delivery and a fastball that has reached 93 mph with natural cut. The curveball and changeup give him a full three-pitch mix, while his mound presence and ability to compete against high-level hitters were on display at the Senior Future Games. He remains one of the uncommitted arms to follow in Arizona's 2027 class.
