Eight teams – six of which are 16-5 in Class 5A -- in each of the upper classifications will have two weekends to win titles in the array of Championship Series that are chock full of contenders, yet generally devoid of heavy favorites.
To this point, the pitching has outweighed the hitting, but we’ll be able to see how its depth will be tested once teams get into their third and fourth throwers.
