Neil Devlin From the Colorado Dugout: Interview with Luke La Flam of Grandview

Neil Devlin
Senior Writer

When Luke LaFlam takes the ball and heads to the mound for Grandview this season, and he should be doing so frequently, he’ll be on the Class 5A bump with a decidedly less-complicated repertoire.

The senior for the Wolves in Aurora who has signed with Arizona State won’t be out there trying to throw everything from a fastball to a knuckle-curve ball to an eephus pitch.

No, the 6-foot-2, 185-pounder will be taking his pitching turn with just two pitches, thank you. He’ll be throwing a fastball and a slider. Period. And don’t argue. He also played linebacker for Grandview’s football team that won its league and made the big-school semifinals.
