Neil Devlin From the Colorado Dugout: Interview with Tony Castonguay of Grandview HS
February 13, 2018
Tony Castonguay said he “wanted to stand out a bit.”
And if he’s successful, there won’t be any doubt about it.
“I’m only in my first month of doing it,” he said.
Castonguay, set to begin his sophomore season at Class 5A Grandview in Aurora when preseason practice for spring sports can begin on Feb. 26, is talking about switch-hitting, baseball’s unique trick of being able to get into either batter’s box and produce. It’s not like a basketball player being able to, say, shoot a layup with either hand or an ice hockey player getting a shot off from either side.
