Goals/Philosophy

Through competition and achievement our program can be a source of inspiration for youth athletes.

The CT Clippers believe the key ingredients to building a successful program is positivity, commitment, hard work, a great attitude, respect for the game and one another. Our goals are to work hard, play smart, and win together through resiliency

Mission statement: Here to help young men become better athletes, teammates, citizens.

Our mission is to build a baseball club and a baseball family that will instill confidence in young athletes that they can use on and off the field. We not only teach the fundamentals and mechanics of the game, we are strongly teaching the mental and emotional aspects of the game as well. We believe if a player is emotionally sound then nothing is going to hold them back.

How has the program grown?

In 2015 the CT Clippers began with one team and 10 players, playing in the East Shore Travel League. The team made the playoffs in its first year. In 2016 that team won the ESTL Spring Championship in the Major Division. Over the next three seasons this squad placed runners-up in its division. The program grew to three teams in three different divisions as of 2019 with our 14u team winning the Spring Championship.

How has PBR been helpful?

PBR has helped our players with the college recruitment process. The ease of Video and Stats link makes it easier for players to provide the information coaches are looking for.

Plans ahead

The CT Clippers is a non-profit 13u-18u youth baseball program serving a growing group of children in the Southeastern Connecticut area. The focus of our organization is to promote healthy development in the area’s youth through sport participation.

Our program will use Washington Park, Fitch Fields in Groton or Neff field in Mystic as our home fields. The support received has been invaluable in the success of our program.

Each season has generated an enormous amount of interest from youth players across the region and we expect the organization to grow in years to come.
