Episcopal out hits Fleming Island but comes up short of a W.

Jacksonville, FL - Fleming Island and Episcopal’s offenses came to play Wednesday night with 19 total hits between the two. Episcopal fell short 12-9 due to a handful of defensive lapses. 

Despite the loss, Episcopal did collect ten hits in the high-scoring affair and had the tying run up to the plate in the top of the 7th. 

Fleming Island took the lead in the second inning on a single to the left side by Gavin Billingsley on an 0-2 count, plating two runs. Fleming Island started to run away with the lead early in the third inning on a double from Drew Homitz that scored two runs for Fleming Island. In the fourth inning Fleming Island put up a five spot to take the lead 10-3.
