Tampa, FL - Wednesday night featured a District semi-finals matchup between Wharton and Alonso. Alonso was coming off a big first round win over Plant but had to match up with 2022 RHP Ryan Fry (Miami).

6-foot-3, 185 pound right hander continues to showcase a loose, quick arm. Mixed 4 pitches for strikes and got plenty of swings and misses on the slider. Fastball sat 89-90 T92, slider 77-78, curveball 73-75, and changeup 79-80. Fry would go the complete 7 innings allowing 2 runs on 3 hits while striking out 9.
