Now that 2015 has come and go, it is time to take a look back at some of the stories and moments that helped define another strong year for Florida high school baseball. The 2015 class had a huge impact on the draft, top-tier talent moved into (and out of) the state, players dominated All-American games, and the name of a certain high school program became more or less synonymous with the term “Dynasty” after winning their fifth state championship in six years.

Even though a large cohort of talented players have graduated and are now beginning their collegiate and professional careers, the futures looks as bright as ever in the Sunshine State as the upcoming classes also appear to be loaded. That being said, before we completely close the door on 2015, let us take one final glimpse back at ten stories that created a buzz around Florida.

Today, we will resurface the story written by Florida Scouting Director—Rob Sidwell—that took many MLB scouts down memory lane about one of the best players in baseball and one of the best to ever come out of Florida. This piece on Andrew McCutchen delves into the kind of player he was in high school, what his tools were like, and how he was scouted.
