PBR: Why did you choose the school you did?
RILEY: I chose Southeastern CC because it will help me improve my game and it’s a great stepping stone. Plus I want to stay close to home, so it is nice it’s not too far.

PBR: What other schools were you considering?
RILEY: UW-Parkside and SDSU.

PBR: Where did the coaching staff first see you? How did your relationship develop with him?
RILEY: They saw me last year when they were watching Jacob Bockenstedt and really liked the way I played and kept an eye on me ever since.

PBR: Do you feel relieved now that the process is over and you can just focus on baseball and not deal with everything that goes into picking a school?
RILEY: Yes, feels good to know where I am heading and just relax.

PBR: Who has helped you the most to get to where you are today?
RILEY: My parents, helping me whether its school or sports, they took me to different showcases or driving across the Midwest staying up late nights and waking up early mornings. As well as school getting me the help with ACT or if I am struggling in class.

PBR: What were your expectations about the recruiting process? Was it easy/difficult?
RILEY: It had its ups and downs, I’m glad I’m done and found a school I am comfortable with.

PBR: What plans does the coaching staff have in store for you in your freshman season?
RILEY: I’ll be playing outfield and I’m excited to start the grind.

PBR: What is your most memorable baseball moment to date?
RILEY: When we beat Johnston and Valley to make it to the state championship.

PBR: Who is the best player that you have competed against?
RILEY: Luke Llewellyn
