PBR: Why did you choose Iowa Western CC?
They have a great track record on getting guys where they want to go and I felt that it was a good fit for me.
PBR: What other schools were you considering?
I was considering a few other jucos and Division ll schools in and around Iowa.
PBR: Where did the coaching staff first see you? How did your relationship develop with them?
I was first seen by their coaches at one of their showcases. I talked with them for a bit and went on a visit a few days prior to committing.
PBR: Do you feel relieved now that the process is over and you can just focus on baseball and not deal with everything that goes into picking a school?
Yes. It's a great feeling to be able to just enjoy the game and not be worried constantly about deciding where to go.
PBR: Was there one deciding factor that put your choice over the top?
The coaches run a great program and I felt it would be a great place to develop as a player.
PBR: Who has helped you the most to get to where you are today?
My Mom. She has done so much for me and has allowed me to take advantage of a countless number of opportunities.
PBR: What were your expectations about the recruiting process? Was it easy/difficult?
I originally thought that it would be pretty easy. It turned out to be more stressful than I had imagined but overall was a great experience.
PBR: What plans does the coaching staff have in store for you in your freshman season?
They will help me continue to build arm strength and develop different pitches.
PBR: What is your most memorable baseball moment to date?
My most memorable baseball moment would probably be going down to Fort Myers last fall and seeing all the different coaches that showed up to watch the tournament. It was really an eye opening experience.
PBR: Who is the best player that you have competed against?
The best player that comes to mind would be Spencer Van Scoyoc.
