PBR: Why did you choose the school you did?
DREZEK: I chose Kirkwood because they are always a competitive baseball program, and the coaching staff is always pushing the players to reach their highest potential. Also while meeting with some players, and the coaches, they were the type of guys that I want to be around while continuing to play baseball.

PBR: What other schools were you considering?
DREZEK: Iowa Western and South Dakota State.

PBR: Where did the coaching staff first see you? How did your relationship develop with him?
DREZEK: Coach Rima had come to watch me pitch early in the season, then Coach Caenepeel came to watch once more during the middle of the season. After that Coach Rima had contacted me about a visit and shortly after the visit I made my decision.

PBR: Do you feel relieved now that the process is over and you can just focus on baseball and not deal with everything that goes into picking a school?
DREZEK: I feel very relieved and blessed that I have been given the opportunity to compete at the next level. Although I still want to push myself to becoming stronger than I was when Kirkwood was recruiting me.

PBR: Was there one deciding factor that put your choice over the top?
DREZEK: Before the recruiting process began, I had given a lot of thought about some major factors that came into deciding what college to go to, like can I see myself going to this college?, can I make an impact right away?, and is this baseball program going to develop me not only into a better baseball player but also a better person?. While on my visit to Kirkwood within about an hour I could easily see that this was a college with everything I was looking for.

PBR: Who has helped you the most to get to where you are today?
DREZEK: My parents, they were always making sure that I had everything lined up to be able to travel to different tournaments, and showcases. My dad has a past as a pitcher, so he had taught me at a young age the correct mechanics to becoming a dominant player.

PBR: What were your expectations about the recruiting process? Was it easy/difficult?
DREZEK: I had no clue what to expect about the recruiting process, but after some showcases and tournaments, I was starting to get calls and texts from college coaches. So I kind of got an idea about how the process worked. The hardest part about the recruiting process was figuring out what schools would fit me the best, and where could I go and make an impact. The easy part was making a decision, because Kirkwood stood out to me, and was on the top of the list for colleges I was interested in.

PBR: What plans does the coaching staff have in store for you in your freshman season?
DREZEK: The plan is to go into Kirkwood and work extremely hard in the off season to prepare myself to be able to throw to my full potential during the season. The main goal for me is to develop my body and mechanics into becoming a dominant pitcher.

PBR: What is your most memorable baseball moment to date?
DREZEK: My most memorable baseball moment was just this past year against Bettendorf, I threw for 15 strikeouts, 2 hits, 4 walks. And then hitting a go ahead 3 run homerun to finish off the win.

PBR: Who is the best player that you have competed against?
DREZEK: The best player I have competed against would probably be Calvin Harris at the 2018 state tournament.
