The PBR IA Fall Review event took place on Sunday, October 28, 2018. The event was held indoors at SportsIowa in Ames, IA. The event featured prospects from the 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022 grad classes; and included many breakout performances from this year's participants. Players showcased their talents in front of our scouting staff and college coaches in attendance.

outfieldER EVALS (ALPHABETICAL)

Jacob Barton, OF/LHP, Waukee, 2021
5-foot-10, 140-pound left-handed hitting 2-way player. 6.85 runner. Square stance with leg kick trigger, larger movements creating some hitches in swing, produces above avg. bat speed with longer levers, line drive approach, 92 mph exit velocity. Long and lean frame, easy actions and covers ground well, shows athleticism in field with clean projectable arm action in field, has carry and accuracy on throws, 82 mph arm strength from outfield.

Isaac Boley, OF, Dallas Center-Grimes, 2020
6-foot, 165-pound right-handed hitting outfielder. 7.13 runner. Narrow stance, strides to balanced position, short path to contact, works up and through baseball, hooks baseball at contact, mid/pull approach, mostly ground balls off bat, 84 mph exit velocity. Active feet, quicker tempo, aggressive through baseball, short arm action, online throws with accuracy to target, 78 mph arm strength from outfield.

Aidan Brown, OF, Des Moines Roosevelt, 2020
6-foot-1, 200-pound right-handed hitting outfielder. 7.21 runner. Compact frame with well above avg. strength, shows hard contact to middle of field, tends to hook baseball to pull side, clean path, solid barrel control, has power in bat, 93 mph exit velocity. Aggressive routes, works through ball with confidence, short arm action, has carry and accuracy to target, 87 mph arm strength from outfield.

Ethan Drown, C/OF/RHP, Urbandale, 2021
6-foot-1, 175-pound right-handed hitting utility player. 7.2 runner. Lean wiry strength with projectable build. Wider stance with balance, compact swing and stays connected through contact, flashes hard line drive and fly ball contact with pop in bat to pull side of field, 89 mph exit velocity. Solid/avg. actions in field, works through ball, shorter arm action, shows carry on throws with avg. accuracy to target, 86 mph outfield velocity. Moves well and is athletic behind plate, sure hands, sticks pitches in zone, good instincts to block, high setup, solid footwork, arm late on release, avg. accuracy to bag, 75 mph arm strength with 2.00-2.13 pop times.

Kelly Gray, OF, Colo-Nesco, 2019
5-foot-5, 115-pound right-handed hitting outfielder. 7.15 runner. Wide stance, no stride, spin hitter, tends to be out and around at contact, pull approach with hook contact, line drives and ground balls off bat, 76 mph exit velocity. Aggressive to field, avg. reads on hops, short arm action, follows throws after release, accurate to target, 70 mph arm strength from outfield.

Evan Grey, OF/RHP, Ames, 2022
6-foot, 165-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. 7.13 runner. Rolling hand rhythm, choppy leg kick trigger, line drive swing, inconsistent contact, spray off bat, contact to all fields, 67 mph exit velocity. Solid athlete, works through ball, avg. carry and accuracy, solid raw arm strength for age, 77 mph arm strength from outfield.

Hank Himrich, OF/RHP, Dowling Catholic, 2020
5-foot-11, 175-pound left-handed hitting 2-way player. 7.14 runner. Square stance with balance, clean bat path, repeats well, hard contact, solid present strength, flashes pop in bat, mid/pull approach, 86 mph exit velocity. Good tempo, works through ball well, fields out front and in stride, longer arm path and releases from OT slot, shows carry and accuracy to target, 87 mph arm strength from outfield.

Cameron Kuehl, RHP/OF, Ankeny Centennial, 2020
5-foot-11, 132-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. 8.07 runner. Open stance, leg kick trigger, larger movements in swing, solid path through contact, spray contact, solid ability to barrel baseball, requires strength gains to match hitting mechanics and approach, 70 mph exit velocity. Avg. range and quickness, tends to field underneath and on side of ball, has carry and accuracy to target, 76 mph arm from outfield.

Dillon Kuehl, LHP/OF, Urbandale, 2022
6-foot-1, 195-pound left-handed hitting 2-way player. 7.27 runner. Crouched stance, some stiffness, lower hand slot, flat path, short finish, solid present strength, hard spray contact, mid/pull approach, 86 mph exit velocity. Works through ball, tends to field with two hands, disrupts direction and momentum, longer one piece arm action, solid carry with accuracy to target, 83 mph arm strength from outfield.

Aiden McGee, OF/RHP, Waukee, 2021
6-foot-2, 165-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. 7.03 runner. Square stance, athletic in box, loads into back leg, compact swing through baseball, shows hard contact with mid/pull approach, above avg. bat speed in swing, 90 mph exit velocity. Quick release on throws, online with accuracy, has avg. footwork and tempo through baseball, tends to lose momentum on release, 84 mph arm strength from outfield. Has some raw tendencies defensively but is athletic with offensive potential and overall an above avg. player in the IA 2021 class.

Parker Shupe, 2B/OF, Johnston, 2020
5-foot-8, 163-pound left-handed hitting position player. 7.01 runner. Compact build with present strength, open stance, loads into back side, above avg. barrel control, routinely squares baseball, and shows ability to work both sides of field with hard contact, 89 mph exit velocity. Works around and through baseball, soft hands, covers ground well, quick release with accuracy on throws, 83 mph velocity across infield. Shows angles and routes in field, solid carry and accuracy, profiles as left-fielder, 85 mph arm strength from outfield.

Tommy Specht, OF, Dubuque Wahlert, 2022
5-foot-10, 145-pound left-handed hitting outfielder. One of top prospects in IA 2022 class. 7.14 runner. Lean athletic frame, loads into back leg, stays connected in hand load, routinely squares baseball, mid/pull approach with ability to drive baseball to oppo gap, 83 mph exit velocity. Moves well in field with easy actions, light on his feet, well above avg. actions with big arm from outfield, online throws with accuracy and carry to target, 88 mph arm strength from outfield.
