PBR: What schools have expressed interest in you?
SCHMITT: Upper Iowa, Augustana, Winona State, Iowa Western, Iowa Lakes CC, along with multiple D3 school

PBR: Have you taken any visits, or have any visits scheduled in the near future?
SCHMITT: I have visited Upper Iowa so far and plan on visiting Augustana and Winona State in the next few months.

PBR: Are you looking for anything in particular in a school? (Example: high academics, certain academic program, local, etc.)
SCHMITT: Yes, I am looking for a quality education along with a place that feels like home.

PBR: What were some of your highlights during your junior year?
SCHMITT: Topping out at 88 at the PBR Preseason All-State Event, hitting multiple home runs in our high school tournament, and finished this season in the top 10 in Independence history for Most Strikeouts in a season.

PBR: What are your goals for this year?
SCHMITT: Throw 90 mph both from the mound and across the infield, locate my change-up better, and develop more power to all fields.

PBR: Do you play any other sports?
SCHMITT: Yes, I also play Football, Basketball, and run Track.

PBR: What is your ACT and GPA?
SCHMITT: ACT: 28 and GPA: 3.98
