By Phil Kerber

The PBR ProCase - Midwest took place on Tuesday, July 11th at Silver Cross Field in Joliet, Illinois. The event had nearly 60 of the top prospects from the 2018 class in the Midwest participate in a pro style workout and simulated game in front of the PBR Scouting Staff as well as countless professional scouts.

Today we start event analysis with stats story. Zaid Walker (Homewood-Flossmoor) showed an impressive combination of speed, arm strength, and power at the plate, landing himself in the top 5 in the 60 (6.46), outfield velocity (91), and exit velocity (98). When it came to pure arm strength from a position player, Francois Castillo (Roberto Clemente, IL) stood out among the rest, clocked at 94 mph from the outfield and 96 mph across the infield. Another big-time arm came from Seth Halvorsen (Heritage Christian Academy, MN), posting the top fastball velocity (93 mph) as well as tying the top infield velocity (96 mph).

Nicholas Juaire (Lakeville North, MN) finds himself all over the leader boards with the top switch-hitting exit velocities, a top 5 infield velocity, as well as the quickest pop time at the event (1.79). Dakota Kotowski (Providence Catholic, IL) has present power at the plate and he took home the top exit velocity of the event; 102 mph.
