Colin Kreiter

Colin Kreiter, OF, North Scott, Class of 2015

PBR:  Why did you choose Kirkwood CC?

KREITER: Because I loved the coaches and players and I feel that they can get me to where I want to be in the next few years.

PBR:  What other schools were you considering?

KREITER: North Iowa Area CC and Iowa Western.

PBR:  Where did they first see you? How did your relationship develop with the coaching staff?

KREITER: PBR showcase in August, and just talking on the phone and going on the visit helped develop a relationship.

PBR: What role do you expect to play your first year on campus?

KREITER: Being a productive team player and hopefully earn a starting position in the outfield.

PBR: Who has had the biggest impact on you as a baseball player?

KREITER: My dad because he always pushed me to be the best I can be, and get better.

PBR: What have you worked on/improved since last year?

KREITER: My speed and working on arm strength and also I continue to take hitting lessons at the Baseball Factory in Davenport.

PBR: Who is the toughest player that you have faced in Iowa?

KREITER: There's a lot of good competition in Iowa I can't really pinpoint one person.

PBR: What are your thoughts on the recruiting process? Any advice for future players in your position.

KREITER: Just pick a school that you think can get you to the next level and also one that fits you academically. Also go to the showcases; they really help get more exposure.
