Q&A With Uncommitted 2015: Daniel Tillo- Sioux City North

Daniel Tillo, LHP/OF, Sioux City North, Class of 2015

PBR: What schools have expressed interest in you?

TILLO: South Dakota State, Northern Illinois, Iowa Western CC, Des Moines Area Community College,  and North Iowa Area Community College.

PBR: Have you taken any visits, or have any visits scheduled in the near future?

TILLO: South Dakota State.

PBR: Are you looking for anything in particular in a school? (Example: high academics, certain academic program, local, etc.)

TILLO: No. I guess ultimately I’m just trying to find the right fit.

PBR: What were some of your highlights during your junior year?

I was awarded 1st Team All-Conference and 3rd Team All-State. I hit .495 with 2 Home Runs and 36 RBI’s and as a pitcher I was 6-0 with a 0.98 ERA, 53K’s in 43 Innings, and opponents batted .103 against me. I also went to a Minnesota Twins tryout and threw 89 mph.

PBR: What are your goals for this year?

TILLO: Lead the team to the Iowa State Tournament and win a State Championship. Win the Missouri River Athletic Conference. Hit over .500 with 5 Home Runs. Stay undefeated as a pitcher and have an ERA under 0.75. Get bigger and faster. Develop other off-speed pitches.

PBR: Do you play any other sports?

TILLO: I also played quarterback on the football team and am a guard/forward in basketball.  

PBR: What is your ACT and GPA?

TILLO: I currently have a 21 on the ACT and carry a 3.0 GPA.
