On Sunday, Feb. 7, Prep Baseball Report will host the 19th edition of its prestigious, flagship event: the Super 60 Pro Showcase. Since the event’s inception in 2003, more than 300 players have been selected in the MLB Draft, including 22 first-round picks and 25 second-rounders.
We started our our march toward the Super 60 earlier this month, by highlighting the prospects set to join us, shining a light on their impressive player profiles that they've groomed through their high school years and beyond.
Scouting Report
Moller has a strong, sturdy frame at 6-foot-1, 200 pounds, built to withstand the rigors of catching. Defensively, he has a quick exchange and strong arm that lead to plus pop times. The bat is his carrying tool, as he has a loose, easy and smooth stroke from the right side that generates plus raw power.
Louisiana State recruit. In a quick glimpse of Moller at the plate, the right-handed hitter stands tall with hands held high above the ear remaining still before rocking his weight back with a leg kick that brings his hands down into a power position with the bat slightly wrapped. He showed a propensity to go the other way facing older pitching, and while his timing was sometimes a bit late, he found a way to get it done with line drive up the middle and to right field for hits in some bigger spots.
